The California Lottery is one of the longest running lotteries in the US which has been operating since November 1984, originally as a scratchcard but by October 1986 the California Lottery was offering weekly draws with multi-million dollar prizes up for grabs for anybody managing to match all of their California numbers. To play this popular draw you must choose five California numbers between 1 and 47 then an additional number between 1 and 27 for your Mega number. Prizes are also awarded for players matching five of their California Mega Millions numbers against the main lottery numbers without the Mega number all the way down to the bottom prize for matching none of the main lottery numbers but just the Mega number.
